Anjum Khurshid

Anjum Khurshid, MD, PhD is an Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School in the Department of Population Medicine. He is the Chief Data Scientist for the Sentinel Operations Center and Founding Director of the Center for AI and Biomedical Informatics (CAB) at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute. He is applying AI technology in real-world settings in partnership with health systems and public health departments across the country. He has also published seminal work on population health AI which have been presented at top machine learning conferences. Previously he his work has been recognized with the Health Informatics Innovator Award for setting up the health information exchange in New Orleans and the Visionary Award, 2021 for his research in blockchain technology in health. He is a Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association and on the editorial board of Blockchain in Health Today and npj Health Systems.
