Michael Mayes

Mike Mayes is Head of Transformation for Insurance Asset Management at Apollo Global Management, where he leads the enterprise AI and digital transformation agenda across insurance investment, asset management, and operating functions. A former BCG Partner and multi-time Chief Product Officer, Mike has spent over two decades scaling AI-enabled platforms, operating-model transformations, and large-scale product organizations across global financial institutions.

At Apollo, he partners directly with senior investment and insurance leadership to modernize decision-making, automate complex financial workflows, and embed AI into core business processes — spanning treasury optimization, investment accounting, forecasting, and enterprise analytics. Previously at BCG, he led multi-year AI and digital programs delivering $1B+ in EBITDA impact and built GenAI, analytics, and platform solutions generating $250M–$500M+ in measurable value.
