Nishant Tembulkar is an enterprise data executive with over 23 years of international experience across Japan, India, the UK, and the US. Currently serving as Data Governance & Management Head (Japan) and Regional Co-Lead at Philip Morris International, he drives end-to-end data strategy, Master Data Management (MDM), data quality, metadata management, and AI governance.
Prior to his current role, he spent over 16 years leading large-scale enterprise data and regulatory transformation initiatives in global banking, including BCBS 239 compliance. He holds an Advance Strategic Management certification from IIM Kozhikode and specializes in cloud data transformation, Snowflake, data catalog adoption, and cross-functional leadership.
