Alex Shvets has spent around 15 years on a single obsession: how organizations actually make decisions — and how data and AI can make those decisions faster, sharper, and less dependent on gut instinct. As Head of Patient Analytics, Data Science & AI at Ipsen, he leads global teams building the AI systems that power scientific and business decision-making across R&D and Medical functions. His career has taken him from real-time decision support systems in industrial R&D to digital therapeutics and commercial analytics at Novo Nordisk, digital twin development for CMC at Takeda, and AI transformation at Ipsen — always focusing on advanced modeling and augmentation of decision-making. Today, Alex is focused on what comes next: knowledge graphs that give AI systems structured reasoning over complex domains, agentic orchestration that moves AI from answering questions to executing workflows, and the governance frameworks that make all of it trustworthy at enterprise scale. He holds an MBA from Rutgers University, MSc in Theoretical Physics from Kharkiv National University, and is co-inventor on two Digital Therapeutics patents.
