Tomo Tajiri, PhD is Head of Analytics & Digital Innovation, Technology Scouting & Integration Labs at Astellas Pharma, where he leads digital transformation initiatives across Pharmaceutical Development and CMC organizations working closely with enterprise digital and IT teams. Tomo advocates a user- and business-centric approach to digital transformation rather than viewing AI solely as a technology challenge. He focuses on redesigning data foundations, business processes, and operating models to unlock sustainable value from AI, digital technologies, and laboratory automation. He is particularly interested in enabling enterprise-wide transformation through Agentic AI and autonomous laboratory systems.
